Σύγχρονη αντίληψη της Εθνολογίας είναι ότι ο πολιτισμός είναι το προϊόν ενός συγκεκριμένου πληθυσμού, το οποίο προκύπτει κάτω από συγκεκριμένες γεωγραφικές, ιστορικές και κοινωνικοοικονομικές συνθήκες σε ορισμένο χρονικό διάστημα.
Οι Έλληνες και οι Τούρκοι ζώντας για πέντε αιώνες μέσα στα όρια της Οθωμανικής Αυτοκρατορίας, δηλαδή σε κοινά χωροχρονικά και διοικητικά πλαίσια, διαμόρφωσαν πολιτισμό με πολλά κοινά σημεία. Η ανάγκη της συνύπαρξης και συμβίωσης των λαών μας- Ελλήνων και Τούρκων- στον ίδιο γεωγραφικό χώρο, απαιτεί έναν ελάχιστο βαθμό αλληλογνωριμίας και αλληλοκατανόησης.
Ethnology’s modern understanding is that culture is the product of a particular population, which results under specific geographical, historical and socio-economic conditions in a certain timeframe.
The Greeks and the Turks having lived within the boundaries of the Ottoman Empire for five centuries, namely in joint spatio-temporal and administrative frameworks, they fostered a culture sharing many common points. The need for co-existence and cohabitation of peoples, Greek and Turkish, in the same geographical area requires a minimum degree of mutual acquaintance and understanding.
“KaliMerhaba”
With our project “ KaliMerhaba”, we will try to investigate the similarities and differences between the two cultures. We would like young people in both countries to reinforce the friendship as it used to be. So, we thought we should start by saying good morning and hello by using the both language.
“KaliMerhaba” is a combination of good morning in Greek, “kalimera” and “hello” in Turkish, “ Merhaba”. Zülfü Livaneli, Mikis Theodorakis, Maria Farandouri created this word to tell everyone that people on both sides of the Aegean Sea are friends…
We will bring young people together and work together to learn, to have intercultural dialogue through common cultural elements ; music & dance, food and language.
We will upload the photos of the activities and recipes of the food and the dictionary of the words.
